What the coach measures

Muscle
It keeps your body working, even at rest. The aim is to keep it while you lose weight.
Body fat
The share of fat in your weight. That is what we bring down, more than the number on the scale.
Visceral fat
The hidden fat around the organs of the belly. It is watched closely, because it matters most for health.
Water
Your hydration level. It helps read the other measurements correctly and tells you whether you drink enough.

BMI does not tell fat from muscle. Your waist measurement and the body fat reading tell you more. For a first idea at home, try the waist size calculator.
